Hospital Financial Auditor

Under supervision of the Health Program Audit Manager I, the Auditor I desk audits less complex Hospital Annual Disclosure Reports and Quarterly Financial and Utilization Reports for compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and the Department of Health Care Access and Information's (HCAI) uniform accounting and reporting system requirements.


Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month. Desirable Qualifications In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:

• At least one year accounting experience.
• At least one year auditing experience.
• At least one year of experience applying general accounting/auditing concepts and principles.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite & Adobe.
• At least one year experience with Healthcare related accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
• Knowledge with auditing databases.
• Ability to prepare clear, complete, and concise reports.
