Qualifications:

• Proven experience as carpenter/ working foreman
• Hands-on experience in workingin the commercial construction industry
• Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Safety forward mentality
• Good understanding of basic math
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, walk distances and provide hands on work when needed
• Concrete experience is a plus
• Must be able to pass drug screen and badging requirements to work on school campuses

REEDER General Contractors, Inc islooking for a qualifiedForemantojoin our team.Job will entail working in diverse settings to produce steady and functional infrastructure and products. Must have concrete experience.

The ideal candidate will also have good knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials. Working with little supervision while following all health and safety standards is essential.

The goal is to contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully grasp requirements
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
• Build window frames, doors, staircases, and frame buildings by using raw materials or pre-constructed items
• Lay outwalls, buildings and other critical building components
• Carve and assemble furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items and install them where designated
• Inspectbuildings and construction sitesand conduct repairs or maintenanceas required
• Build scaffolding and other construction structures
• Operate skid steer, sky track, backhoe and other equipment
• Maintain Site signage and appearance
• Safety and Quality Assurance:Insures all site subcontractors have completed the REEDER Safety Orientation & JHA. Conducts new working site safety orientation on a daily basis. PPE is worn by subcontracts at all times.
  
• Subcontractor Management & Competent Person Responsibility: Acts as the competent person for the project site when the Superintendent is absent with a focus on recognizing and correcting safety hazards. Works to develop positive relationships with all site workers. Studies the plans and specifications to become generally familiar with the scope of work for all on site subcontractors. Supports and monitors progress for each trade with an attitude guard toward safety and servanthood. Insures all subcontractors keep materials well organized and orderly.
• Project Close-Out:Create and manage the punch list(s). Helps perform misc. punch list execution for any scope that is not covered by subcontractors. Supports the demobilization of the project office and superfluous materials.
• Assistant to the Superintendent: Acts at the assistant to the site Superintendent for all tasks and duties necessary to support the project. Reports directly to the site Superintendent.
