Randstad Staffing has partnered with a leading medical device manufacturing business in Brooklyn Park, MN to recruit for their direct-hire CNC Swiss Machinist openings.  Second Shift: Monday to Thursday / 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM / $1 per hour shift differentialWeekend Days: Friday to Sunday / 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM / $3 per hour shift differentialWeekend Nights: Friday to Sunday / 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM / $4 per hour shift differentialExperience/Certification:

• Ability to effectively and efficiently balance competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
• 2+ years of experience, preferably in a Medical Device or Component manufacturing environment.
• Able to use a computer, calculator, read and write in English and do shop Math. 
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Verify all products meet quality specifications both visually by using a microscope and dimensionally in accordance with specifications or other Quality System requirements. This includes the use of vision systems, CMM's as well as hand tools. Demonstrate the ability to read and understand QC calc/ SPC and use the data to perform offsets, tool changes and maintain dimensional integrity.

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma/GED-General Studies.
• Certificate-Machine Trades or equivalent work experience.
• Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:  

Coding

• Extensive understanding of G and M code for a citizen machine. Some macro program knowledge. Operational knowledge of many types of machines and controls.

Process Knowledge

• Set up Swiss Machines on most intermediate complexity level production jobs unaided as required by work instructions and set up sheets.

Ability to Train Others

• Willing and able to train others on basic and intermediate complexity level production jobs.

Communication

• Good communication with their peers of the immediate work cell/line.
• Able to effectively communicate across the department, including the extended team.

Problem Solving

• Troubleshoot intermediate machining job problems with supervision.

Electronic Systems Knowledge

• Has a basic understanding of the electronic systems used in operations.  Accesses the systems for training and clocking in/out of jobs.
