Working within our small team, you will directly support our Financial Planner and business owner, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, gaining hands-on experience in comprehensive wealth management from investments and insurance to college and estate planning.

Position Overview \n

We are seeking a fast learning, detail oriented Wealth Operations Assistant to support our client service and operations with an emphasis on account investment openings, insurance applications, and client data management. You will serve existing clients and help onboard new clients. Expect to listen in to client meetings and be responsible for implementing the action items under the oversight. You must be comfortable seeking out the information you need to complete tasks from the resources available to you. We will rely on you to monitor the status of applications and service requests and ensure successful completion. This role will expand with your demonstrated skillset. Service lines you may ultimately support include investment brokerage, direct held mutual funds, advisory investments, variable and fixed annuities, life insurance, disability insurance, long term care insurance, and fee-based financial planning.

You will work remotely about 95% of the time, with roughly 5% in-person: occasional team meetings in our Herndon office, business partner lunches, or client meetings in Northern Virginia. During training, more time may be spent in person. Because of the remote role, demonstrated success working independently is essential. Professional references and a background checks are required.

\n

Key Responsibilities \n

●      New Account Opening: Open investment accounts including advisory, brokerage, and direct to fund.

\n

●      Insurance: Support licensing, registration and product training needs of Advisor. Based on client information on file and Advisor direction, complete and monitor annuity, life, disability and long term care insurance applications including interfacing with outside insurance brokerage teams and insurance companies.

\n

●      Document & Intake Management: Confirm document receipt, cross-check files against intake lists, and proactively follow up with clients by email, portal, and/or phone on missing items. Enter and store client data in all necessary locations.

\n

●      Service Request Initiation and Monitoring: Identify and execute the correct forms and service requests as directed by the Advisor. Proactively track back office and outside firm service requests. Monitor and act on Broker-Dealer portal notifications.

\n

●      E-Signature & Client follow up: Follow up with clients to ensure e-signatures or paper forms are returned promptly.

\n

●      Client meeting support: Assist in preparing for client meetings as directed. Listen in on meetings, review AI meeting notes for accuracy, and post meeting notes and action items for advisor review.

Requirements & Qualifications \n

●      Experience: Minimum 1 year of non-internship professional experience, ideally in financial services, especially at a Broker Dealer/RIA or insurance brokerage.

\n

●      Credentials (Must hold AT LEAST ONE for consideration, more preferred):

\n

○     SIE

\n

○     Active Series 65 or 66

\n

○     Active Series 7 and 63

\n

○     Active Insurance Agent (Life, Health, & Annuities)

\n

○     CFP® or ChFC education completed (you do not need to have completed the test or hours)

\n

○     Bachelor’s degree in Finance

\n

●      Technical Skills: Tech-savvy with an ability to use digital task management and CRM workflows. Experience with AdviceWorks, Envestnet, Wealthbox, Firelight, or eMoney, is a plus but the right applicant can learn on the job.

\n

●      Local Residence: You must be a resident of the state of Virginia, ideally residing in Northern VA.

\n

●      Client Service Attitude: Our clients are family and friends, and we want them to feel cared for by our team. You must demonstrate a focus on the client experience and ability to adapt to different needs.

\n

●      Detail and Process Orientation: This role demands precision and consistency. It will be a good fit for people who like the feeling of ticking off their to-do list and who double-check their work by default.

●      Remote Work: Proven track record of successful work-from-home/remote experience and self-motivation. Dedication, focus, and physical privacy and security of your workstation are required.

Compensation & Benefits \n

●      Salary: $45,000-55,000 (Commensurate with experience) + Bonus Potential (up to 5% of salary)

\n

●      Flexible Work Environment: Mostly WFH with some flexibility around hours. Plan for 35 hours a week on the clock, with detailed self-reported time tracking . Expect to be available during market hours 9:30 am - 4 pm M-F with a healthy lunch break and the ability to work earlier or later, as mutually agreed.

●      PTO: Two weeks PTO plus all bank holidays. May not be taken during peak tax season (Feb- April.)
