Export Coordinator Location: Torrance, CA Industry: International Trading / Food Products Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Work Style: On-site Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch break) Pay Rate: $25/hour (DOE) Company Overview An international trading company in Torrance, CA is seeking an Export Coordinator to support its international shipping operations. This position is responsible for coordinating export shipments, preparing shipping documents, and communicating with customers, suppliers, and logistics partners. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in export operations or logistics who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate export shipments from order processing through delivery. Prepare and review shipping documents, including invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading. Create and process purchase orders and sales orders. Communicate with freight forwarders, ocean carriers, trucking companies, and suppliers. Track shipments and provide customers with delivery updates. Coordinate production and shipping schedules with manufacturers. Review product samples and communicate quality-related feedback. Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure compliance with export regulations. Assist with invoice processing and payment tracking (AR/AP). Work closely with internal departments to ensure smooth daily operations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in export operations, logistics, or a related field. Basic knowledge of export documentation and shipping procedures. Good organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Preferred: 2+ years of experience in export operations or logistics. Associate's or bachelor's degree. Knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and customs procedures. Japanese language skills are a plus.Experience using Google Workspace. Ideal Candidate Detail-oriented and well-organized. Able to manage multiple shipments and deadlines. Comfortable communicating with customers, vendors, and logistics partners.
