About the Position

Job Opportunity – Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (1845-0715), 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period). Float requirements as needed. Holiday coverage expected.

Highlights:

• Patient ratio: 1:6, varying by acuity
• Comprehensive cardiac patient population including post-surgical care, interventional procedures, and complex cardiac diagnoses
• 24-hour orientation with structured onboarding process
• Epic charting system with full interdisciplinary team support including pharmacy, respiratory, PT, and rapid response teams
• Diverse case mix featuring CABG, TAVR, Watchman procedures, cardiac catheterization, and electrophysiology patients

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac nursing experience required
• Medical-Surgical/Telemetry/Step-down experience strongly preferred
• EKG interpretation proficiency (testing required prior to start)
• Experience with cardiac drip management, dysrhythmia interpretation, sheath removal, and telemetry monitoring
• Familiarity with Epic charting system preferred
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Willingness to participate in storm/hurricane team response as needed
