Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Weekend requirement of 5-6 shifts over a 6-week scheduling period. Floating required as needed based on unit demand.

Highlights:

• Fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit specializing in heart failure, arrhythmias, pacemaker/ICD implantations, and pre/post cardiac catheterization patients
• Manage cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, and Dopamine with titration responsibilities
• Perform specialized procedures including sheath pulls, TR bands, and Femstop application
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Epic charting system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR communication protocols
• Contract length of 13-26 weeks with 24 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry, PCU, IMC, or stepdown nursing experience
• Strong experience with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Proficiency in cardiac drip management and titration, vasoactive drip management, and blood product administration
• Experience with central and peripheral line care, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Willingness to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment and serve on storm/hurricane response teams as needed
