WHO WE ARE

DuBro Architects + Builders is a vertically integrated design-build firm based in Falls Church, Virginia. We have been designing and building remarkable homes in the DC metro area since 2001. We don’t separate the thinking from the making — our licensed architects, construction managers, and craftspeople work together from the first sketch through the final installation.

We make really cool spaces and things. Under one roof, our architects draw and our craftspeople build. The wood shop, metal shop, lumber mill, and kiln are not separate from the design process — they are part of it. This integration is what makes DuBro unusual, and it is what makes the work worth doing.

THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced Design-Build Project Manager to join our construction management team and report directly to the principal. You will carry projects from permitting through closeout, managing budgets, schedules, tradespeople, and client relationships with real accountability.

You will be paired with an experienced field superintendent and supported by our in-house architectural studio. The principal and lead architect follow every project from the initial design stage through completion — which means you will never be without context or support, and you will be held to the same standard of care that runs through every part of this firm.

The expectation is that you show up as a leader — someone who earns the trust of the field, holds the client relationship with confidence, and brings the same care for quality to a schedule decision as our architects bring to a design decision.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

• Project budgets, schedules, and cost tracking from permitting through closeout
• Coordination and performance management of tradespeople and artisans
• Client communication and relationship management during construction
• Weekly project reporting and schedule maintenance in ConstructionOnline
• Change order management in coordination with the architectural team
• Field quality control in partnership with your superintendent

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience in design-build or high-end custom residential construction is required. We are less interested in your title history than in whether you have genuinely owned projects — carried them, worried about them, solved problems in them, and delivered them with integrity.

• 8+ years in construction project management, with design-build or high-end custom residential experience required
• Proven ability to manage project budgets and schedules independently
• Strong relationships with trades and field credibility
• Comfortable working directly with owners and architects as a peer, not a go-between
• Proficiency with construction management software (ConstructionOnline, Procore, or similar)
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required
• Kind
