Pacific Staffing is recruiting a Billing Specialist with grant accounting experience to support our Sacramento based client, dedicated to strengthening communities and delivering life-changing services. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who excels in billing, grant reimbursement tracking, compliance documentation, and supporting program teams with accuracy and care. The Billing Specialist supports our client's finance and program teams by preparing invoices, managing grant-funded billing activity, reconciling payments, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and private grant requirements. This role maintains precise financial records, supports reimbursement submissions, and partners closely with program directors to ensure allowable costs are documented and billed accurately. Location: Full-Time | On-Site | Sacramento, CA Pay: $33-$35/Hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and process billing for grant-funded programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with grant guidelines.
• Track grant expenditures, reimbursement schedules, billing deadlines, and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile payments, resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain clean AR and grant records.
• Partner with program directors to verify allowable costs, timecards, and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end close, grant reporting, and financial analysis.
• Maintain SOP-driven workflows for billing and grant accounting processes.
• Support audits, monitoring visits, and special accounting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience in billing, accounts receivable, or grant accounting.
• Strong understanding of grant reimbursement processes, cost allocation, and compliance documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.
