HVAC Truck Based Controls Technician (union)

What you will do: Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Respond to basic warranty calls. How you will do it: Load system-level controller software Have experience in the commercial construction industry working on a job site Perform more complex commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete all required commissioning documentation Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training. Show a high degree of regard for employee and subcontractor safety What we look for: Required Two-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a similar field or at least 3-5 years of industry experience or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry. Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques Effective interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people. Leadership skills to support the activities of mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC-related software Experience working in the commercial construction industry. Pay Range: 33.65 - 43.27 hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
