Department Finance Direct Supervisor Patient Accounts Director Job Summary The Patient Access Technician is responsible for all registrations at the front desk and answering the phone. The Patient Access Technician shall admit patients to the appropriate department and obtain appropriate documents to register patients. Supervisory Responsibilities None Duties/Responsibilities Primary person to answer the phone and transfer to the appropriate department/individual. Admission of patients to the appropriate department and level of care with accuracy. Add and check on ordering providers who are not credentialled with the facility. Performs office tasks including ordering supplies and performing basic bookkeeping. Performs additional duties as assigned by Patient Accounts Director. Required Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment. Education and Experience High school diploma required. At least two years of related experience required. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
