Get ready to see it first hand with MiSide.Position Description:This is a contract position where the person performs duties related to food services in the Early Head Start and Head Start program. The person actively participates in menu planning and maintaining appropriate records, along with food preparation, serving, storing, transporting, and clean up. The person fulfilling this job is expected to complete assignments with a high standard of accuracy, attention to detail, and timely completion of work. This position works under the direction of the Site Manager.Responsibilities and Duties:Obtains necessary components of meals to meet CACFP regulations and to ensure all daily food requirements are metPrepares and serves all food according to established guidelinesSanitize bowls, pans, utensils, work surfaces and other areas within the kitchenPortions food servings in accordance with CACFP guidelinesActively participates in menu planningMaintains records in accordance with specified guidelinesMaintains a clean and organized work areaAdheres to Head Start regulations and federal and state standards regarding food preparation and distributionCommunicates effectively with staff, parents and children on CACFP program and Head Start performance standards as neededEnsures children with food restrictions have appropriate food substitutionsResponsible for following CACFP documentation as it relates to the kitchen, menu, menu substitution log, menu as served, temperature logs for refrigerator, hot and cold food, attendance-meal attendance sheets and meal countsMaintains confidentiality as it relates to home and school environmentCooperates in any investigation related to personnel, licensing, accreditation or other circumstancesAttends all agency and departmental meetings and training as requiredPerforms other reasonable related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or other managementEducation:High school diploma requiredServSafe Certification and previous professional experience in food preparation #J-18808-Ljbffr Miside
