Litigation Attorney Opportunity

Seeking a Litigation Attorney opportunity with 5+ years of experience who can manage complex policyholder disputes while developing business and building a practice.

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to join a growing practice in Seattle, WA and Houston or Dallas, TX. The attorney will represent policyholders in complex insurance disputes.

Responsibilities

• Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance matters, including coverage disputes, claim denials, and bad faith claims.
• Review insurance policies, claim documentation, correspondence, and related records to assess coverage and identify potential issues.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis involving first-party property insurance laws, regulations, and case law.
• Independently manage a diverse first-party property insurance caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, legal documents, and correspondence.
• Negotiate with insurance carriers, opposing counsel, and other parties to achieve favorable client outcomes.
• Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Provide clear legal advice to policyholders regarding their rights, obligations, and insurance coverage options.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, legal assistants, and experts on case strategy and management.
• Develop and execute strategies to generate new business and build a client base in the Seattle market.
• Work with Business Development and Marketing teams to support practice growth and client acquisition.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active Washington or Texas State Bar license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of litigation experience.
• Strong experience in first-party property insurance law highly preferred.
• Proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, legal writing, and trial skills.
• Ability to independently manage complex litigation matters.
