About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director of Development (MDD) to spearhead its fundraising, marketing, and communications strategy. The successful candidate will be a seasoned fundraising professional with an entrepreneurial spirit, capable of leading a high-performing team to meet annual fundraising goals. This role demands a strategic and ambitious leader, a compelling communicator, and an equity-driven fundraiser who is adept at building and nurturing partnerships with a diverse range of supporters, including corporations, foundations, individual donors, and public funders. The MDD will be responsible for the organization's long-term financial sustainability and visibility, overseeing various fundraising activities such as major gifts, institutional giving, corporate partnerships, grant writing, and special events. The MDD will also be expected to engage the Board of Directors in fundraising efforts and contribute to the organization's overall strategy. The ideal candidate for the MDD position at the company will have a proven track record in fundraising and a deep commitment to the mission of the organization. They should be adept at developing and executing strategies to secure multi-year investments, identifying new funding opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing supporters. Collaboration, innovation, and a focus on social impact are essential. The role is pivotal in advancing the company's mission and strategic priorities, and the MDD will be a key member of the site leadership team, working across departments to ensure the success of the organization's philanthropic initiatives.
