Accounting Assistant

Accounting AssistantOur client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Assistant to join their growing team. The Accounting Assistant will support the accounting department with daily financial transactions, accounts payable and receivable activities, account reconciliations, data entry, and general accounting support. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong organizational skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment.Accounting Assistant Responsibilities:Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor paymentsGenerate customer invoices and assist with accounts receivable collectionsReconcile bank statements and general ledger accountsMaintain accurate financial records and supporting documentationReview expense reports and ensure compliance with company policiesRespond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding billing and paymentsUpdate and maintain accounting spreadsheets and databasesSupport audits by gathering requested financial documentationPerform various administrative and accounting-related duties as assignedAccounting Assistant Education and Experience:Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative experience preferredStrong understanding of basic accounting principlesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with accounting software/ERP systems preferredExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
