Commercial Paint Foreman – Higham Company - DMV Region  

Job Overview

• Salary/Pay Rate: $29.00 - $32.00+ per hour plus Performance Based Bonus
• Location: Manassas, VA (20% Regional Travel)
• Job/Employment Type: Full Time
• Project Scope: Commercial Painting, Wallcovering, and Polished Concrete
• Mandatory Licences & Certifications:  Drivers Licence in good standing 

The Opportunity

We're seeking a Painting Foreman to run day-to-day work on the jobsite. You'll lead a crew directly — assigning tasks, keeping quality on track, and making sure the work matches specs and manufacturer requirements — while reporting progress and issues to the Superintendent and Project Manager.  This is a fast-paced, family-oriented business that actively invests in your professional growth and long-term career advancement.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Supervise on-site crews and subcontractors to ensure precise execution of work scopes.
• Maintain strict safety standards and conduct daily site inspections to keep teams safe.
• Manage jobsite materials, track inventory usage, and order necessary project supplies.
• Develop and assign daily work schedules to meet contract timelines and labor budgets.
• Perform painting, wallcovering, and substrate preparation tasks alongside the crew.
• Document daily job logs, track crew labor hours, and report field updates to accounting.
• Communicate progress, delays, equipment needs, and field challenges with superintendents.
• Train and mentor crew members on proper technique and company standards 

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience leading field crews in a commercial trade business.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of coatings systems, surface prep, and application methods.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, schedules, and specifications
• Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Strong leadership and time-management skills with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable directing a crew and solving problems on the spot.  

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Completed OSHA 30 certification or related trade safety training.
• Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish to lead diverse field crews effectively.
• Trade Program or Technical Certification in painting, or construction management.
• Procore, Autodesk, BlueBeam Project management programs - commonly used onsite with a tablet.
