Job Information Position Type: EHRA Staff Title: Assistant Baseball Coach Position Number: 001412 Recruitment Range: $50,000‑$53,500 Work Schedule and Hours: Flexible hours to include evenings and weekends; travel required Full‑Time/Part‑Time: Full‑Time Months per Year: 12 FLSA Status: Exempt Position Summary The Athletics department at UNC Asheville supports a Division I NCAA baseball program. The Assistant Baseball Coach will work with the Head Coach to lead a competitive program that aligns with the department’s strategic plan, promoting competitive excellence, a holistic student‑athlete experience, and community engagement. The role requires integrity, servant‑leadership, a strong work ethic, creativity, and respect for others. Education and Experience Required: Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience playing or coaching at the collegiate level. Preferred: Master’s degree preferred. Previous collegiate coaching experience. Experience as a Division I student‑athlete. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to coach, recruit, manage travel, handle budget and fundraising, and build community relations while adhering to NCAA and Big South Conference rules. Must communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and uphold the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics Department and the university.
