The Assistant Baseball Coach at UNC Asheville will assist the Head Coach in leading a competitive NCAA Division I Baseball program that aligns with the athletic department strategic plan. The ideal candidate will exhibit character traits of integrity, servant‑leadership, work ethic, creativity, and respect for others and passion for their work in college athletics. This position is responsible for assisting the head coach in the management and administration of all phases of an intercollegiate sports program in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Department of Athletics and the University. FLSA Exempt Required Education/Experience/Skills Bachelor’s degree. Prior experience playing or coaching at the collegiate level. Preferred Education/Experience/Skills Master’s degree preferred. Previous collegiate coaching experience. Experience as a Division I student‑athlete. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities This position requires possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to assist and administer all phases of an NCAA Division I Baseball Team in a manner that upholds the philosophy and objectives of the Athletics Department and the University including but not limited to coaching, recruiting, team travel, budget management, fund raising, and community relations. Adheres to all policies and procedures of the Athletics Department and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of the NCAA and Big South Conference. Requires the ability to communicate effectively and to manage multiple tasks.
