Inventory Control Associate

Position Overview: The Inventory Control Associate will oversee the tracking, auditing, and optimization of all raw materials, components, and finished goods. The primary focus of this role is to conduct regular cycle counts, reconcile system variances, and analyze inventory consumption rates to support production or retail fulfillment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly proficient in inventory management software. Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties are considered essential to the role. Inventory Reconciliation & Auditing: Perform scheduled cycle counts and physical audits. Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical stock and system ledger records to determine root causes (e.g., shrinkage, entry errors). Stock Consumption Tracking: Monitor the daily depletion and consumption of inventory. Identify slow-moving items, near-expiration materials, or obsolete stock, and report findings to management. Data & System Management: Input and update accurate stock data within the company’s ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). Maintain structural logic for SKU assignments and storage locations. Replenishment Support: Calculate optimal reorder points based on consumption metrics, lead times, and historic demand to mitigate the risk of stockouts. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse operations to verify inbound shipment quantities and streamline receiving workflows. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Life Sciences, or a related discipline required. One to three years of relevant experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, manufacturing, finance, or related business functions. Experience working with ERP systems, preferably SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite. Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred. Experience with inventory reconciliation and inventory reporting processes preferred. Operational Excellence experience with preference for Green Belt certification. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, lookup functions, and data analysis techniques. Working knowledge of inventory management principles and reconciliation methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the organization and with external partners. Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a cross-functional team environment. Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI is preferred.
