Construction Project EngineerAre we the road to your future?We are currently searching for an experienced Construction Project Engineer to support our West Region located in Denver, Fort Collins, and Colorado Springs, CO.To be considered for this position, applicants must have, at minimum, ten years of heavy highway construction experience and experience on Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) construction projects.What You'll Be Doing:Oversee construction on heavy highway construction projects, with daily on-site presenceServe as the Engineer in Responsible Charge on assigned projects and administer all project paperworkSupport project assignments located throughout the Colorado front range, including temporary relocation when necessaryReport directly to the Resident Engineer or Client, as well as to the Volkert managerWhat You Need To Have:Minimum of ten years of heavy highway construction experienceExperience on Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) construction projectsProficiency in reading and understanding construction plans and specificationsFamiliarity with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, PMWeb, and internet/email usageAbility to obtain the following certifications: Professional Engineering License in Colorado, Traffic Control Supervisor, ACI Concrete Transportation Construction Inspection, and Transportation Erosion Control Supervisor TrainingAbility to be on your feet for long periods of time and work flexible hoursAbility to meet the requirements to drive a company vehicleWillingness to relocate to project locations temporarily, if necessaryAbility to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
