When you join RadNet as a Medical Assistant, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.You Will:Take accurate patient vital signs and record them in the patient's chart and/or electronic medical records system; for patient flow and accurate encounter documentation.Give intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, draw blood, and/or collect / label / route / test specimens as needed.Accurately maintain and record patient calendars and records.Work with staff to facilitate scheduling of diagnostic testing and to obtain insurance authorizations as required.Stock and maintain all supply levels for assigned area; order and restock following site guidelines / protocols.Comply with all HIPAA guidelines, confidently guidelines, and safety guidelines for a laboratory / clinical environment. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and exercise universal precautions when dealing with all patients and exams.Organize and assist patient flow through the clinic area.Work with all levels of medical office staff.Assist in obtaining patient's test results and other diagnostic records for physicians and/or nurses.Coordinate consultation services or imaging studies for the patients as specified by management and/or clinical staff.Support physicians / nurses with procedures as needed; may include set up of tools / equipment, assistance with procedures, and/or clean up.Identify and communicate important issues or problems to management.Maintain a clean, safe and compliant laboratory space.
