Outpatient Physical Therapist

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that promote effective return to community activities. The therapist serves as an educator of patients, families, students, coworkers, and oneself, performing additional professional duties associated with patient care and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Document patient care in a clear and timely manner, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and clinic policies.
• Provide care under valid physician orders and manage services within insurance approvals as needed.
• Participate in educational programs as assigned, offering a positive learning environment for students with proper supervision.
• Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and self-study.
• Adhere to discipline-specific standards and maintain licensure in good standing.
• Understand performance improvement methodologies to enhance quality of services and follow through with action plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• At least 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a 5x8.0 schedule.
