As a valued member of our expanding dental team, you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the care and comfort of our patients in a dynamic, hands-on role. As a Dental Assistant, your primary role will be to assist our dental professionals in delivering top-notch dental care efficiently. Your contributions will be crucial in helping us maintain the highest standards of patient satisfaction and clinical excellence. Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures such as fillings, crowns, and extractions.
Take and record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs, and provide postoperative instructions as prescribed by the dentist
Assist the dentist in managing medical and dental emergencies when necessary
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following all dental treatment procedures
Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Take radiographs (x-rays)
Perform various office tasks as necessary
Requirements
Proven experience as a dental assistant
High school diploma; graduation from a recognized dental assistant school or training program preferred
Certification for radiology as mandated by state regulations (where applicable)
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Good computer skills
Strong communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
