Job Title
Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry Float

Location
Olympia, WA | Short Term Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | 19:00–07:30

Key Responsibilities
Float across units to fill staffing needs, caring for a diverse patient population including telemetry, medical-surgical, and ER-boarded patients
Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–6 depending on unit acuity
Perform core charge nurse duties on designated smaller units, including managing staffing needs, bed flow, and general unit coordination
Document and chart accurately using EPIC
Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Required Qualifications
Valid RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of RN experience in the United States (Canadian experience alone does not qualify)
Charge nurse experience is required
Experience with EPIC charting system
Must commit to all requested time off and scheduling needs upfront at time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be granted
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler (locals accepted at an adjusted rate)

Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in cardiac step-down or progressive care settings
Background in managing high-acuity, mixed patient populations in a float or flex staffing capacity
Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and interpretation
