Position: Customer Service Representative

Location: Hauppauge, NY

Company/Industry: Well-established commercial distributor

Schedule: Mon-Fri On-Site Only 8am - 430pm

Salary: $22 - 23 per hour depending on experience, flexibility for the right candidate, plus benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Order Processing & Data Entry: Accurately enter and process high volumes of incoming customer orders into the internal system in a timely manner.
• Customer Communication: Serve as a main point of contact for clients, managing inquiries professionally via phone and email.
• Account Setup & Maintenance: Create and update new customer accounts, ensuring all profile details, billing specs, and records are precise.
• Returns & Payments: Process customer returns (RMAs) and securely process credit card transactions.
• Logistics Support: File and track freight claims with carriers to resolve shipping discrepancies or damages.
• General Clerical Tasks: Support administrative workflows, file documentation, and maintain organized customer records.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of customer service, order entry, or administrative office experience in a business-to-business (B2B) or corporate environment.
• Technical Skills: Strong data entry skills with high speed and accuracy; proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong telephone etiquette.

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $22.00 - $23.00
