RN Nurse Educator - Cardiac Cath Lab

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00/hr - $80.00/hr

Shift & Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced RN Nurse Educator with a strong Cardiac Cath Lab background to support clinical education, staff development, and competency management within an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will combine advanced cardiovascular clinical expertise with a passion for teaching, mentoring, and professional development.
Responsibilities
• Develop and deliver educational programs for Cardiac Cath Lab nursing staff.
• Train, mentor, and support nurses in cardiovascular and interventional procedures.
• Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for new staff members.
• Evaluate clinical competencies and performance standards.
• Conduct skills assessments and validation activities.
• Support continuing education and professional development initiatives.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
• Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Maintain educational records, competency documentation, and training reports.
Required Qualifications
• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Master's Degree in Education.
• Recent Cardiac Cath Lab clinical experience.
• Acute Care Hospital experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge of invasive cardiology procedures and patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous Nurse Educator experience.
• Experience developing competency-based education programs.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with adult learning principles and staff development programs.
• Professional certifications related to cardiovascular nursing or education.
