Job Description
Title: Medical Assistant - Oncology

Schedule: 5 x 8-hour days

Requirements:
- Certification: MA-C, BLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in a clinical setting
- EMR: Experience with Epic is required
- Skills:
- Obtaining vital signs and rooming patients
- Preparing rooms for procedures and assisting providers
- Basic specimen handling and point-of-care testing
- Administering injections/immunizations within scope
- Supporting medication-related tasks, including pharmacy communication
- Phone triage and scheduling

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients and collecting vitals.
- Preparing rooms for outpatient infusion appointments.
- Assisting providers to support workflow in an oncology infusion setting.
- Performing basic specimen handling and labeling.
- Conducting point-of-care testing as required.
- Providing phone triage and scheduling assistance as needed.

Compliance / Notes:
- Orientation: 40 hours
- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required during the compliance process.
