Business Intelligence Manager

About the Role Our client is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to lead a growing analytics function while remaining hands‑on technically. This individual will manage and mentor a small team of junior analysts while partnering closely with leadership to drive operational insights, reporting strategy, and performance optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate is both highly analytical and business‑oriented — someone who can translate complex data into meaningful insights, confidently communicate with stakeholders, and help shape strategic decision‑making across the organization. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3–4 days onsite each week in the New York City area. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of Business Intelligence Analysts, providing guidance on dashboard development, reporting accuracy, and stakeholder communication. Build and maintain reporting solutions, KPIs, and operational dashboards using SQL, Power BI, and Excel. Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver actionable insights that improve operational performance, revenue integrity, and efficiency. Conduct deep‑dive analysis on large data sets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for business growth. Present data‑driven recommendations and performance updates to leadership teams and key stakeholders. Requirements 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related leadership roles. Strong hands‑on technical expertise with SQL, Power BI, and advanced Excel. Proven ability to tell a compelling story with data and communicate insights to both technical and non‑technical audiences. Experience mentoring or managing analysts in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. Preferred Qualifications Experience within utilities, telecommunications, infrastructure, or other high‑volume transactional environments. Exposure to operational analytics, revenue assurance, or financial performance reporting. Strong understanding of data modeling, KPI development, and business performance analytics. Experience working in rapidly scaling organizations. Additional Information Hybrid schedule: 3–4 days onsite weekly. High‑growth environment with strong executive visibility.
