Quality Technician - 2nd Shift

This is a hands-on role working directly on the production floor, where you'll inspect, test, and document concrete products to ensure they meet company and industry quality standards. If you're comfortable in a manufacturing environment, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in attention to detail, this is a great opportunity to build a long-term career.Responsibilities:Perform concrete testing, including slump, air content, temperature, density, and compressive strength testing.Inspect products before and after pours to verify compliance with specifications and drawings.Read and interpret blueprints, mix designs, and production documents.Monitor aggregate moisture and concrete mix quality.Document test results, inspections, and quality data accurately.Identify non-conforming products and complete required reports.Inspect welding, reinforcement placement, embeds, lifting devices, and other critical components.Use hand tools, testing equipment, and measuring devices to verify product quality.Support production teams in resolving quality concerns and improving processes.Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.Qualifications:1+ year of concrete, precast, construction, manufacturing, or quality control experience.Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools accurately.Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.Strong math and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.Team-oriented with strong communication skills.High school diploma or GED required.Preferred Qualifications:PCI Level I or II Certification.ACI Certification.Previous quality assurance or quality control experience.Knowledge of concrete testing methods and industry standards.Why Join Us?Competitive pay with overtime opportunities.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company contributions.Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP).Generous paid time off.Stable, year-round work with opportunities for advancement.Strong safety culture and team-oriented environment.Work Environment:Plant-floor environment within a precast concrete manufacturing facility.10-hour shifts with overtime available.Initial training on 1st shift, moving to a 2nd shift schedule after training.Frequent walking, lifting, climbing, and use of testing equipment.PPE required and provided as needed.Fast-paced, hands-on position with opportunities to learn specialized skills and grow within the company.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Circle Pines, MN.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
