Blazer Jobs is partnering with a supportive school district to hire a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers a consistent schedule, elementary caseload, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' success in the classroom.
Position Overview:
This role supports elementary-aged students in a school-based setting, working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help students build functional, academic, and developmental skills needed for classroom success.
Schedule:
• Full-time, Monday–Friday
• Standard school-day hours (approximately 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Full 2026–2027 school year assignment
Job Responsibilities:
• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as directed by supervising OT
• Support students with fine motor, sensory, and adaptive skill development
• Assist students in improving classroom participation and independence
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Document student progress and therapy activities as required
Requirements:
• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in California
• School-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work onsite in a school environment
