Position Highlights Assignment Type: Locum Tenens Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour on-site shifts (8:00 AM 8:00 AM EST) Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 3090 days Clinical Responsibilities Provide neonatal care in a Level II NICU Evaluate, diagnose, and manage newborn patients requiring specialized care Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams Stabilize and manage neonatal patients according to established protocols Patient Volume Average Patient Encounters per Shift: 23 Average Patients per Shift: 23 Requirements Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (Required) Active NC license and DEA Current certifications: BLS Required NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Required PALS Not Required Ideal Candidate The ideal provider is an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner who is comfortable practicing independently within a Level II NICU environment and is available for ongoing 24-hour on-site coverage. Candidates should possess strong neonatal assessment and critical thinking skills while working collaboratively with the neonatal care team.
