• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,270-$3,880
• Healthcare Setting: 6-bed Level II NICU and neonatology unit
• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 - a welcoming western North Carolina community with a scenic foothills setting and convenient access to the Charlotte region
• Start Date: July 31, 2026
• Coverage: Ongoing locum tenens coverage
• Schedule: 8A-8A EST, 24-hour restricted on-site call with no callback
• Shift Duration: 24 hours
• Patient Volume: 2-3 patient encounters per shift
• Openings: 2 positions available
• Credentialing Timeframe: 30-90 days

• At least 1 year of neonatal, NICU, or advanced practice NP experience required
• Active Nurse Practitioner credentials and appropriate licensure required
• Board certification required
• BLS certification required
• Comfort with 24-hour restricted on-site coverage and a no-callback schedule
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a neonatal care setting
• Additional credentialing requirements may apply

• Provide high-quality neonatal care within a Level II NICU and neonatology unit
• Complete assessments and support ongoing care for newborn patients in the NICU
• Manage a low-volume patient load of 2-3 encounters per shift
• Remain on site throughout the full 24-hour coverage period
• Partner with the care team to ensure safe, consistent neonatal coverage throughout the unit
• Deliver dependable locum tenens support that helps maintain continuity of care
