BUSINESS/PRACTICE MANAGER

Charlotte / Gastonia, North Carolina

Full-Time | On-Site in Morganton, NC | Weekly Travel Expenses Covered

Coastal Management Solutions (CMS) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business/Practice Manager to support a growing wealth management practice based in Morganton, North Carolina. Candidates based in the Charlotte or Gastonia areas are encouraged to apply! The team is open to expanding its search beyond Morganton for the right candidate, with weekly travel expenses covered for those commuting to the office.

The Business/Practice Manager will play a key role in supporting financial advisors, overseeing day-to-day operations, coordinating client onboarding, and delivering an exceptional client experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, building strong client relationships, and contributing to a close-knit, collaborative team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Manage operational workflows for brokerage and advisory accounts
\n
• •Support new client onboarding, including account opening documentation and account establishment
\n
• •Process account paperwork, asset transfers, and money movement requests accurately and efficiently
\n
• •Identify and resolve NIGO (Not in Good Order) items in a timely manner
\n
• •Maintain accurate client records and perform detailed data entry
\n
• •Serve as a primary point of contact for client service and operational inquiries
\n
• •Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, advisors, and internal business partners
\n
• •Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure efficient service delivery
\n
• •Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and industry regulations
\n
• •Assist with practice management initiatives and process improvements
\n
• •Monitor industry trends, operational updates, and regulatory changes
\n
• •Take ownership of operational processes and proactively identify opportunities for increased efficiency
\n

QUALIFICATIONS

\n
• •Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
\n
• •Previous experience in financial services, wealth management, banking, broker/dealer operations, or an RIA environment preferred
\n
• •Familiarity with account opening procedures, account maintenance, asset transfers, and money movement processes
\n
• •Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
\n
• •Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
\n
• •Strong written and verbal communication abilities
\n
• •Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
\n
• •Professional, client-focused demeanor with strong relationship-building skills
\n
• •Interest in obtaining FINRA licensing, including the Series 7, is a plus
\n
