Propulsion Hardware Engineer, Prime Air Drone Fleet & Production

This role will require you to dive deep into root cause analysis, troubleshoot in a lab environment, develop mitigations, and drive future solutions for the propulsion subsystem. You will also be responsible for documenting and developing streamlined workflows to deliver corrective actions for other subsystems and operations use, interfacing with supply chain and external vendors on your findings, and applying this knowledge into production-level test systems to help mitigate issues on future hardware.Key job responsibilities- Troubleshooting with hardware/software interfaces- Root cause analysis on hardware failures across the electrical propulsion subsystem- Providing corrective actions- Implementing changes in production-level hardware/software- Developing GUIs/workflows to help streamline hardware defect trackingBasic qualifications- Experience troubleshooting issues and root cause analysis- Experience managing lab resources, equipment, and supplies- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field- Experience in production or post production processes and facilitiesPreferred qualification - Experience with product level validation testing (Thermal, EMC/EMI, Shock, Cycle Testing, etc.)- Experience in root cause analysis and error correction, identifying changes to procedures and systems to implement long-term fixes and avoid repeating issues- Experience testing hardware/mechanical sub-components, research and data analysis skills, and/or Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout best practicesAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
