Sr Electrical Hardware Development Engineer, Amazon Prime Air

Prime Air is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic hardware and related Avionic systems and architecture for Prime Air Drones. This includes, Avionic compute and Avionics distributed systems hardware. In this role you will be working with our Seattle based team to help to deploy new hardware and Avionics architecture systems for Prime Air Drones. You will work with internal and external vendors to support hardware development, manufacturing and test. Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalfKey job responsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will help the team in the following ways:-Architecture and Hardware Designs, develops, Avionic compute and distributed system hardware (air data probes, lidar, radar, gnss antennas)-Design and test other analog/digital devices components such as navigation hardware, satellite communication, air data probes, DC-DC converts and protection circuitry.-Perform electrical analyses, circuit simulation, components sizing and selection, create electrical schematics and PCB layouts.-Support engineering trades, estimates and interact with suppliers/partners on critical components and develop hardware from concept to mass production.-Support developing hardware and component level requirements/specifications.-Increase the engineering rigor behind designs, verification, and documentation.-Perform prototype hardware and systems in labs. -Perform formal verification testing including DO-160 and DO-254If this sounds like the role for you, come make history with us!About the teamHere at Amazon, we embrace our differences. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
