- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or similar field \n- 3-6 years of experience in a similar role \n- 3D CAD experience\n- Experience reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs), releasing drawings, reviewing drawings with suppliers to ensure manufacturability, and opening CAD models.
- Required Background: Prior experience working in shops and labs, showing comfort in continuing to work in those hands-on environments.\n - Key Tools: Experience with 3D CAD tools, specifically Uni Graphics NX.\n- Core Responsibilities and Scope\n - Highly hands-on role supporting the shop floor and labs rather than being desk-bound.\n - Act as the "eyes and the legs" on-site for engineers located in Erie, Brazil, and India.\n - Support daily shop operations and address issues as they arise.\n - Assist the lab with ongoing validation processes.\n - Work with senior engineers to support the completion of tests.\n - Provide engineering design support, which includes handling engineering change requests, reviewing Bills of Materials (BOMs), releasing drawings, reviewing drawings with suppliers to ensure manufacturability, and opening CAD models.\n - Collaborate closely with design engineers, manufacturing technicians, test engineers, and sourcing teams.
