Chef/Prep Cook

We’re looking for someone with a passion for cooking to join our team and help us serve scratch-made Southern comfort food to the hospital community. What You’ll Be Doing

• Prepping and cooking a full range of dishes for our hot and cold breakfast and lunch lines.
• As needed, supporting other stations like our fry and grill and salad stations.
• Contributing to the daily operations of our restaurant, including unpacking deliveries, organizing and cleaning the BOH, running trash, and setting up and clearing the dish pit in the morning.

• Set Schedule: Morning shift — no nights, weekends, or holidays. The individual selected for this position will need to arrive by 5:30am and stay through 12:00pm (end time is slightly negotiable), Monday through Friday.
• Competitive Pay: $14.00 per hour based on experience, in addition to tips (at least $4.00 per hour) that are shared among the entire restaurant staff. Your total hourly compensation will be at least $18.00 per hour.
• Great Location: Inside Erlanger’s Medical Mall near CSAS, the Hamilton County Health Department, and downtown Chattanooga. Parking is included for employees.
• Paid Holidays: After 60 days for full-time team members.

• Has experience prepping and cooking in a restaurant, or the aptitude to learn.
• Shows up consistently on time, with a positive attitude.
• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail to ensure that every dish is crafted with the utmost care and the highest quality. And that the kitchen maintains exceptional standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Works well with others, communicating clearly and professionally and positively and looking for ways to help teammates.
• Is efficient and can juggle multiple tasks without breaking a sweat.
• Demonstrates an "ownership mindset," proactively working beyond your assigned tasks to improve our food and the restaurant.
