Furnace OperatorWe are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Furnace Operator to join our specialized heat treating team. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring heat treating furnaces while ensuring quality standards, safety procedures, and production requirements are consistently met.Work EnvironmentSpecialized heat treating facility.Shop temperatures can reach 100° F, requiring the ability to work safely and comfortably in a hot industrial environment.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor industrial heat treating furnaces according to work instructions and process specifications.Load and unload materials while ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.Set up furnace cycles, monitor temperatures, and verify processing times.Perform quality inspections and accurately document production data.Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical instructions.Conduct routine equipment checks and report maintenance or operational issues.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Follow all company safety policies and quality standards.QualificationsTechnical background or experience in manufacturing, industrial operations, heat treating, machining, or a related field preferred.Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.Focused attitude with the ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain consistency.Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.Physical RequirementsAbility to work in a hot environment with temperatures up to 100° F.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials throughout the shift.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance when required.Ability to safely perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
