That's why we Build Different.We are currently seeking a Senior Project Accountant for our Rye Brook, NY location. This is a fully in-office role reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The Senior Project Accountant's primary responsibility is to support the project team regarding contract billings, payments, timely reports, closeout compliance, and any other duties related to assigned projects.Key Responsibilities:Act as a central point of communication between clients and internal team membersAccounts Receivable - ensure that client billings are managed and processed in an efficient and timely mannerAccounts Payable - ensure that subcontractor invoices are received, approved by necessary parties, and any discrepancies are identified and resolvedCollect and track compliance documentsProcess payables with an accurate understanding of the sales-tax and use-tax requirements for the projectGenerate monthly reporting and data analysis relating to client projectsExecute a proactive approach to project closeoutOther duties as assignedQualifications:Must have previous accounting experience with a general contractor or subcontractorMinimum of 5+ years of experience in a Project Accountant roleBachelor's degree in Accounting or comparable professional experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and comfortable with other MS Office productsExcellent written and verbal communication skills to build relationships with internal and external clientsAbility to problem-solve and work independently to identify potential discrepanciesAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage their time well on tight deadlinesHigh level of professionalism, responsiveness, and confidentialityTeam-player and ability to build relationships well across the organization and teamExperience in the construction industry preferredProcore, Timberline/Sage, and GC Pay experience a plus
