Clinical Research Coordinator I

Job Summary The Massachusetts General Hospital's Center for Vascular Emergencies (CVE) is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with ongoing and future clinical research studies in the Department of Emergency Medicine. The incumbent will be a highly integrated team member interfacing with investigators, fellows, residents, research interns, and departmental research staff. Some overnight or weekend coverage shifts may be required based on study protocols. The position is well-suited for those interested in graduate studies or a career in medicine, public health, or clinical research, offering significant patient interaction as part of a clinical research team. Essential Functions Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met. Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone interviews. Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol. Prepares data for analysis and data entry. Documents patient visits and procedures. Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC procedures. Assists with interviewing study subjects. Assists with study regulator submissions. This role does not require direct patient care. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Science required; no experience in lieu of degree accepted. EMT certification is valuable. Spanish proficiency is valuable. Some relevant research project work (0–1 year preferred). Careful attention to detail and good organizational skills. Ability to follow directions. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Computer literacy. Working knowledge of clinical research protocols. Ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects' rights and individual needs.
