Early Childhood Assistant School Director

The Sewickley Valley YMCA is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant School Director for the Sewickley YMCA location. This position is responsible for creating a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall quality of the program. Must be able to communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment.

Key responsibilities: assist in all aspects of supervising and administrating the full-day Early Childhood Program with approximately 90 children enrolled year-round. Must work to maintain all DHS requirements as well as Keystone STARS standards.

Qualifications:

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Strong leadership skills

• Ability to work well with others

• Basic computer skills

• Knowledge of childcare regulations and quality standards

Days and times needed

Monday through Friday – Hours can be flexible, but the candidate must be available to close the center when needed. This position is responsible for supervising the later shift(s) at the center.

Salary:

$20-22 depending on qualifications
