This is a great opportunity for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join a strong, collaborative team in a role focusing on analysis with leadership and advancement opportunities on our Investment Compliance Technology team. This individual must be a self-starter with the ability to multi-task and work on a variety of assignments with people at all levels of the organization.Responsibilities include:Design, prototype and code new user-facing applications and workflows based on functional specifications across the full stack – services, web, infrastructure, and back-endPartner with business analysts, QA engineers, and Client Guideline analysts to lead the delivery of high-quality business solutions. This will include participating in architecture, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and supportLead the development and implementation of solutions to enhance and streamline investor workflowsWork with business teams, project managers, and systems analysts to review and qualify business requirements, functional specifications, use-cases, and test plans which will include building estimates, identifying issues, and raising risksWork across various IT teams to coordinate and facilitate infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and cross-functional projectsModify and enhance existing systems to incorporate new functionality and to optimize them for performanceProvide technical and leadership across initiatives to ensure capabilities are developed with the latest methods and to the highest standardsProvide guidance and mentoring for more junior team membersAuthor architecture, technical design, and support documentation and ensure the adherence to established code-quality standardsImplement AI-driven solutions to enhance workflows and optimize productivityEnsure stability of production systems by implementing tools for observability, data quality and alerting, as well as providing hands-on support during on-call rotationsQualifications include:10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with solid accomplishmentsProficiency with Java, Python, and Node.JSStrong knowledge of SQL, experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySqlReact is a plusExperience in Financial Industry is preferredDemonstrated ability to deliver high quality, user-facing solutions previouslyExcellent written and verbal communicationExperience with AI technologies is a plusExperience working with Agile methodologies, CI/CD tools (Jenkins or equivalent), version control (Git) and Orchestration toolsExperience operating in a DevOps environment with cloud technologies. The base salary range for this position is:USD 120,000 - 225,000This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.Base salary is only one component of Wellington's total compensation approach.
