Highly qualified H1b candidates will be considered, no other visas can be supported.Summary Our client is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who is responsible for helping lead the systems development and deployment of AI-based products and platforms.Responsibilities Duties involve leading, designing and developing the full software development lifecycle for new and existing AI-based products and platforms, leading, and supporting QA processes such as testing and code reviews, developing product-related code and infrastructure, managing execution of development workflows, including updates and releases, and supporting large-scale deployment across clinical settings.Responsible for leading all aspects of AI product software development related to our AI projects.Serve as a technical lead contributing to and directing the efforts of AI platform development teams, including internal and external team members.Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the existing AI product portfolio of applications and services.Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack.Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.Remain current on new technologies and trends; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.Mentor Software Engineering team to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice, coaching, and training opportunities.Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes to maintain the software center of excellence (CoE).Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams and product management.Collaboration with other software development team members in managing the required documentation and processes per global medical device regulations.Qualification Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Computer Science or related technical disciplineStrong experience in Python and its scientific computing libraries (pandas, numpy, etc.), strong experience in product-based software development lifecycle (software development process, QA and software testing)Experience with version control and Git, a container platform (Docker, Kubernetes), build and release pipelines experience serving as a technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle, experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications at scale, experience with deep learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, CUDA, etc.), experience in developing medical products, experience in analyzing large datasetsExcellent analytical, problem-solving, organization and time management skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to lead others.Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of duties, ability to provide in-depth evaluation and analysis of unique complex technological issues.Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices including Agile software development process, knowledge of SQL databases, knowledge, and experience in cloud infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, etc.), knowledge of professional software engineering best practicesFamiliarity with relational databases and Standard Query Language (SQL)Willingness to help manage software development, but also directly develop codeDiversity and EOE StatementsOur clients are committed to an inclusive workplace where we do not discriminate based on race, sex, gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital or familial status, age, ancestry, disability, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
