CNC Programmer

Our client, a global leader in the Fishing Tackle Manufacturing Industry is seeking a motivated and skilled CNC Programmer to join their team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for operating both manual and CNC machinery to manufacture high-precision metal and plastic components and tooling. The ideal candidate should be experienced with both manual and CNC machining, proficient in G-Code, and exude passion and attention to details. What will you be doing?

• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to machine custom and production components, including tools and fixtures.
• Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances; perform layout and measurement of workpieces.
• Program, set up, and operate both manual and CNC machines for prototype and production runs.
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production staff.
• Inspect completed parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs.
• Adjust tooling and machine settings.
• Assist in identifying and resolving mechanical or operational issues with machines.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety standards.
• Document machining procedures, inspection results, and production metrics.

What do you bring?

• Positive, can-do attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a technical program or apprenticeship in CNC machining preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in both manual and CNC machining environments.
• Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, and working with various metals and plastics.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Proficient in CNC programming and knowledgeable in G-code.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software systems.
• High attention to detail with a commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
