Certified Tumor Registrar

To support cancer data management, the full-time Certified Tumor Registrar will abstract and code patient-specific information into the cancer registry database, ensuring data quality and compliance with regulatory standards while working onsite in Cincinnati, OH. Key responsibilities Abstract and code cancer registry data, translating medical terminology into standardized codes Conduct case finding to maintain a complete cancer registry database by identifying reportable conditions Perform data quality reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness of cancer case abstractions Required qualifications Associate's Degree in a relevant field Cancer Registry Management certification or enrollment in a program with a CTR credential expected within 3 years of hire Registered Health Information Technology (RHIT) certification or equivalent Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in Word and Excel Understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and ICD coding systems
