Orientation and Mobility Specialist - Early Intervention
Location: Reno, Nevada - Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS)
Schedule: Full-Time, Mon-Friday
Salary: Highly Competitive - up to $56/HR - Based on Experience

Reliable Health Care Services is hiring a dedicated Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support infants and toddlers (ages birth to 3) through Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS) in Reno, NV. This is a meaningful opportunity to empower children with developmental delays and vision impairments to achieve greater independence and sensory access from the very start.

As part of a mission-driven, interdisciplinary team , you will assess, develop, and implement individualized orientation and mobility programs to help families support their child's functional growth in the home and community.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct assessments of functional vision, orientation, and mobility for infants and toddlers
Develop and implement individualized strategies to improve orientation, spatial awareness, and safe travel
Educate and support families and caregivers to continue skills at home
Collaborate with speech, physical, and occupational therapists, case managers, and educators
Document progress and maintain records in compliance with federal/state early intervention guidelines
Participate in IFSP (Individualized Family Service Plan) development and reviews

Qualifications

Orientation and Mobility Specialist certification from the Academy for Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP)
Valid Driver's License
Pediatric experience is a plus (especially ages birth to 3), but not required
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, family-centered team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
