Quick Facts: Location: 3635 Vista Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110 Start Date: 09/12/2026 End Date: 03/13/2027 Shift: Day shift, 06:00 – 18:30, 5 days/week, 8 hours/day Hours/Week: 40 Employment Type: Contract Licenses/Certifications: Missouri state license, BLS, ACLS Experience: Minimum 2 years in trauma level I or high-acuity cardiac care Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $134.00/hour Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable 24/7 dedicated team support throughout your assignment What You’ll Do: Provide advanced inpatient management of cardiac surgery patients (CABG, valve repair/replacement, aortic procedures) Conduct daily assessments, diagnosis, and treatment planning Manage arrhythmias, pacemakers, electrolyte imbalances, and infection surveillance Handle patient admit/discharges, chest tube and surgical drain management, wound care Collaborate with surgeons and multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication Recognize clinical deterioration and escalate care promptly Support discharge planning and coordinate patient care transitions What You Need: Valid Missouri license to practice as an NP or PA Board certification in your specialty BLS and ACLS certifications At least 2 years of clinical experience, ideally with trauma level I background Proficiency in managing complex post-operative cardiac patients Ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team About the Assignment: Join a specialized cardiac surgery stepdown department supporting high-acuity adult patients. The role requires expertise in managing post-operative cardiac care, including assessments, procedures, and discharge planning. You will work alongside cardiac surgeons and a skilled multidisciplinary team in a reputable hospital environment.
