Job Opportunity: OB/GYN Physician
Our organization is actively looking for a full-time OB/GYN physician to become a part of our esteemed team at a community hospital located in Albany, NY. This is a fantastic chance to join a well-established and respected group of obstetrics and gynecology specialists who deliver cutting-edge care.
Our team provides a comprehensive range of services, catering to both normal and high-risk pregnancies, along with various gynecological and women's health issues. The OB/GYN program at our hospital is robust, averaging around 3,700 deliveries each year. Our multidisciplinary team includes Midwifery, OB/GYN, Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM), and Level 3 NICU services.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a physician to take on a Laborist role at our 442-bed facility. This position is strictly inpatient, focusing on managing laboring patients and overseeing both routine and complex deliveries, including cesarean sections. The role features a shift-based schedule, requiring three 15-hour shifts weekly. Please note that we are not accepting candidates on J-1 or H-1B visas.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and provide care for patients in labor.
- Oversee routine and complex deliveries.
- Collaborate with Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists for high-risk cases.
- Utilize excellent clinical and communication skills to ensure top-notch patient care.
- Board Certified or Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Strong commitment to team-oriented care.
- Ability to triage, evaluate, and supervise both routine and high-risk deliveries.
