Manager of Business Trends, International and US Specialty

Salary Range: $121,000 - $137,500 per year. The above base pay range may vary depending on location, job‑related knowledge, skills and experience. The range listed is just one component of Wayfair’s total compensation package for employees. This position is a hybrid in‑office role that works out of our Boston HQ (Monday‑Thursday will be working in office and Friday is work from home). This is not a virtual / remote position. Who We Are To win in the home goods space, Wayfair must regularly make tactical decisions to influence revenue trends and improve the customer experience while keeping a tight pulse on strategic goals. Wayfair’s Business Trends team is the C‑suite’s right hand in steering revenue growth, monitoring performance drivers, and surfacing tactical opportunities in real time. We are looking for a Manager to drive the revenue performance narrative for Wayfair’s International business (WFUK and WFCA) and support our Specialty Retail Brands (SRBs) and Perigold. This role combines sharp analytical deep‑dives with executive storytelling to shape weekly leadership decisions. A major priority for this role is the evolution of our toolkit, specifically building out agentic AI workflows to automate reporting and accelerate the delivery of insights. This role offers an opportunity to shape the revenue agenda of a Fortune 500 e‑commerce leader, with visibility and impact at the highest levels of the company. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical acumen, an ability to tie different data inputs to a consistent narrative, and strong cross‑team collaboration to influence both short‑ and long‑term revenue tactics. What You’ll Do International Performance Narrative: Own the weekly reporting cadence for WFUK and WFCA, maintaining high‑stakes performance decks for business GMs and senior leadership. Global Integration: Contribute to the wider "Wayfair Inc" trends narrative for executive meetings, ensuring International performance drivers and nuances are accurately represented within the global context. SRB Support & Analysis: Provide "lighter‑touch" reporting support for Specialty Retail Brands (e.g., Birch Lane, Perigold) and conduct "double‑click" deep‑dive analyses into specific trend deviations or opportunities. AI‑Driven Automation & Execution: Own the execution of agentic AI workflows for your scope (International and SRB) using Wayfair’s enterprise AI toolkit. Beyond your immediate scope, you will assist in developing wider automation initiatives that drive faster, more scalable insights for the broader Wayfair.com business. Macroeconomic Modeling & Analysis: Lead the integration of external macroeconomic indicators (e.g., housing starts, interest rates, consumer confidence) into the revenue narrative. Build and refine models that quantify the impact of the macro environment on international business performance, enabling the team to distinguish between market‑driven shifts and internal execution. Trends Agenda Support: Provide overall support for the Business Trends agenda build‑out, identifying ways to further professionalize our toolkit and deepen our influence across the wider organization. What You’ll Need Experience: 4–5+ years in investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, or a high‑growth strategy/analytics role. Analytical Rigor: Strong ability to develop hypotheses, use data software to conduct analyses, and synthesize complex findings into a clear narrative. Communication: Exceptional skills in shaping data‑driven narratives for senior stakeholders; ability to explain "the why" behind the numbers clearly and concisely. Technical Toolkit: Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills are required. Experience with SQL/BigQuery is a plus. Must have a strong interest or hands‑on experience in executing GenAI/Agentic AI solutions within an enterprise environment. Macroeconomic Acumen: Deep understanding of how macroeconomic and competitive dynamics influence consumer behavior and e‑commerce performance. Adaptability: Thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is comfortable driving clarity from ambiguity.
