Details\n \n Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting \n 1:6 patient ratio \n Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), with 36 or 48 hour options available \n Weekend shifts required \n Float required to like units within scope based on facility needs \n Epic charting system experience required \n Requirements\n \n Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start \n BLS certification required \n 2 years of experience preferred \n Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, port access/management, peripheral line care, and starting/maintaining IVs \n Experience with BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tubes, oxygen administration, and nasal cannula \n Experience with colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube care and management \n Experience managing CVA patients \n Experience administering Heparin, Insulin, and PCA medications \n Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac \n Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care \n Experience with surgical drains \n Experience with telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote) and use of Rapid Response/Code teams \n Experience with total joint replacement care \n Additional Information\n \n Provide comprehensive medical-surgical nursing care including cardiac monitoring and emergency response support \n Brief unit orientation provided for float assignments \n Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; locals not accepted \n First-time travelers are welcome to apply \n Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler \n No travel pairs or groups accepted \n RTO must be requested at time of consideration, with a maximum of 4 days auto-approved and none during the first week of orientation \n \n \n American Traveler Job ID P-754183.
